Silicon Valley Clean Energy and PG&E are required to provide this side-by-side rate and power content comparison in an annual mailer to enrolled customers. Visit our website to view the mailer for the rate that most closely corresponds to your electric account type.
SVCE’s GreenStart offering costs 1% less than PG&E’s equivalent generation rate and is carbon free. GreenPrime is SVCE’s option upgrade to 100% renewable electricity from wind and solar and costs less than a penny more per kilowatt-hour for electricity generation from wind and solar. By comparison, PG&E’s electricity supply mix is about 33% from renewable sources and nearly 70% carbon free. SVCE rates are set by our Board of Directors, a group of local public officials who seek community input before rate changes go into effect. Additionally, SVCE customers continue to receive full CARE, FERA and Medical Baseline discounts.
