Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) is committed to providing our customers with clean, affordable and reliable electricity.
Homeowners and businesses throughout Santa Clara County will have the opportunity to participate in programs to help install battery storage, solar, and/or other clean power technologies for their home or business. Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) is seeking proposals from qualified developers for the development of customer-sited Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). DERs are small-scale, on-site electricity generation and/or management systems such as solar panels and battery storage systems.
SVCE will be selecting a partner vendor(s) in early 2020, with the intent of announcing the program details in spring 2020, and launching in advance of the next fire season in fall 2020.
If you are a local customer interested in installing a system to increase your resilience and you want to be notified of this opportunity when it becomes available, please complete the form below. We’ll send updates and information. Participants must be SVCE customers.
In addition, as the region prepares for the 2020 fire season and another round of PG&E’s Public Safety Power Shutoff events, SVCE will be working with our member agencies and community partners to identify and prioritize sites across the region that 1) provide critical community services during power outages and 2) would be good sites for solar + storage back-up systems. This community resilience program will launch in Spring 2020 and will result in a set of tools, resources and partnerships to advance clean back-up power at prioritized sites across the region.
