Local Partner Offers & Services

Local partners play a key role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions to reach our communities’ goals. Silicon Valley Clean Energy is working with our member agencies, community organizations and innovation industry leaders to help accelerate decarbonization and electrification locally through transportation, buildings and resilience.

Join SVTEC

The Silicon Valley Transportation Electrification Clearinghouse (SVTEC) is a collaboration of public, private, and nonprofit leaders working to accelerate EV adoption across Silicon Valley. Visit the SVTEC webpage if your agency or company is interested in joining and to learn more about available resources and upcoming meetings.

Receive Recognition for Innovative Charging Solutions

The regional recognition program recognizes the achievements of local businesses, governments, and nonprofits across the region who have invested in innovative solutions to EV charging. Learn more and apply here. Applications for 2021 will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Reach Codes for EV Readiness

By working with local governments, building officials, and stakeholders from the building community, we have developed reach codes that help encourage the construction of buildings and homes that are powered solely with clean electricity and are prepared for EV charging. Visit our Reach Code webpage to learn more.

Community Resilience Program

In collaboration with our member agencies and local stakeholders, the program will assess, identify, prioritize and implement resilient energy strategies across our territory. Applications are currently open for the competitive solicitation process for planning support and for grand funding for member agencies.

Reach Codes

By working with local governments, building officials, and stakeholders from the building community, we have developed reach codes that help encourage the construction of buildings and homes that are powered solely with clean electricity. Building Electrification Technical Assistance

To support the development of all-electric buildings and electric vehicle readiness, Silicon Valley Clean Energy is working with TRC to provide extensive, free, technical assistance to architects, builders, developers, design engineers, contractors, and energy consultants on all-electric building technologies and electric vehicle infrastructure.

Best Practices Guide for Streamlining Electrification Permiting

To further support member agencies, this program assesses current permitting and inspection processes for electric technologies and electric vehicle charging infrastructure and informs streamlining efforts across jurisdictions. Through a review of permit data and interviews with member agency staff, industry stakeholders and local contractors, the study produced a Baseline Assessment that benchmarks current electrification and electric vehicle permitting processes at each municipality and presents potential improvements.

This effort also informed the development of the Best Practices Guide for Streamlining Electrification Permitting (‘the Guide’). This Guide provides support for local jurisdictions to streamline permitting and inspection processes in order to prepare for the expected increase in permit activity as California transitions to all-electric buildings. The Guide also highlights recommendations for third-party entities to support jurisdictions’ electrification efforts.

Apply for Innovation Onramp Grant Funding

The Innovation Onramp program was launched to leverage SVCE’s unique position to engage and support the innovation ecosystem in addressing key technical, market and policy barriers to achieving deep decarbonization in our service territory & beyond.

Get Instant, Secure and Authorized Energy Data to Provide Customer Quotes

The SVCE Data Hive is a flagship pilot project with UtilityAPI awarded through SVCE’s Innovation Onramp. It will make initiating clean energy projects quicker and easier for everyone involved whether you are getting a quote for a solar installation, electric vehicle charger or energy efficiency upgrade.

The SVCE Data Hive will streamline this process by providing instant, authorized and secure access to standardized energy data needed to provide a project quote. This project will help reduce friction in the market – by addressing both the cost and hassle of getting authorized access to customer data, as well as empower customer choice and support local businesses.
