2023 Electric Showcase Awards

Your neighbors are leading the way to a safer, healthier future by powering their homes and buildings with clean electricity.

There are many paths to going electric.

One-third of our community’s local greenhouse gas emissions come from buildings. Fortunately, switching to electric technologies that use the clean electricity Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) provides can make a big difference, giving home and business owners the power to reduce harmful emissions.

The Electric Showcase Awards recognize homeowners and businesses who have or are in the process of upgrading from gas to electric living. Some have begun by replacing older gas appliances as they burn out, while others have proactively gone fully electric. But they all share a common goal – get gas out of the house and start living electric. The clean energy future is here, and it’s happening right now in our community.

Read the award winner stories below to learn about how your neighbors are going electric.

Just Getting Started

Taking the first step can be the hardest part, but as our award winners below discovered, transitioning from gas to electric appliances is easier than you think. We’ll even help you find a contractor best suited for your needs.

As Stephen from Campbell discovered, “Our experience of going electric has been very smooth. And I have an opportunity to make a difference by using solar and wind powered electricity rather than natural gas.”

On The Way

And folks are not stopping at just one appliance! Customers that started to make the switch to electric technologies found that the wide array of rebates, like the SVCE FutureFit Homes rebates, helped cut the cost of these home upgrades.

Like Amit from Cupertino, “I was blown away by the simplicity and energy efficiency of the heat pump. And the rebates from SVCE made this a no brainer.”

Fully Electric

Your neighbors who have made the full transition to clean electric living enjoy increased comfort and have reduced their exposure to toxic pollutants in their home, especially if they replace their gas stovetop with an induction cooktop.

Award-winners William and Lakshmi from Sunnyvale agree. “We love the induction cooktop! It is a pleasure to cook on, very efficient, significantly more responsive than coil/halogen electric and much healthier than gas.”
