Incentives and Quotes for Home Upgrades Now at Your Fingertips

Reducing peak demand charges and improving overall grid efficiency

Sunnyvale, CASilicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) unveils Assisted Home Upgrades, a tool that further streamlines the process of going electric, from finding appliances to sourcing and securing contractors and rebates.

SVCE designed Assisted Home Upgrades to support the growing number of customers making the transition to clean, safe electric equipment. In one simplified process, the Assisted Home Upgrades web tool alleviates three of the largest barriers to home electrification: finding rebates and incentives to reduce project costs, applying to receive those rebates and incentives, and getting connected to local installers.

The tool, developed by RockRabbit, is AI-powered software that enables customers to apply for and claim incentives with ease. Assisted Home Upgrades streamlines this process by using one customer application to apply for multiple rebates and incentives, saving customers time and maximizing available savings. With this first-of-its-kind offering in place, SVCE customers can expect a smoother experience when applying for and receiving incentives, along with direct access to local contractors for quotes and installation.

“SVCE places immense value in making the home electrification process as straightforward as possible,” said George Tyson, SVCE Board Chair and Los Altos Hills Councilmember. “It’s essential that all customers feel supported in accessing the resources that can significantly improve their experience transitioning to a cleaner, safer electric home.”

Following the launch of the new eHub, the central location for personalized electrification support, SVCE has actively explored ways to enhance the customer experience, directly connecting customers with the resources they need. eHub offers tools for customers to explore how they can go electric, while the new Assisted Home Upgrades tool will guide customers through simplified steps to turn their project into reality. At this time, more than 25 local contractors have enrolled with Assisted Home Upgrades to await customer inquiries.

SVCE customers have taken advantage of more than $4.5 million in rebates for home upgrades and reserved an additional $1.6 million, to date. SVCE customers can get started with reserving project rebates at the Assisted Home Upgrades webpage, https://assisted.svcleanenergy.org/home.
