What rebates are available?
SVCE rebates are available for single-family homes, mobile or manufactured homes, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and multi-family homes (4 dwelling units or fewer) swapping out existing equipment, not for completely new building construction. Each dwelling unit is eligible for one rebate per appliance type. See the Participant Agreement for more details and the Appliance Specifications to confirm your project is eligible.
The limited-time $500 incentive for a heat pump water heater has now expired.

Silicon Valley Clean Energy will award rebates up to the dollar amounts described below. Rebates are not to exceed project costs. If you are a customer from Los Altos, Milpitas, Mountain View, or Sunnyvale, you can find your core rebate amounts on the City Rebates tab.
Please note that if you are participating in Full Service Home Upgrades, you do not need to submit a Home Rebates reservation. Your rebates will be automatically applied to your Full Service Home Upgrades project cost. How it works
- Contractor: You are free to use any licensed contractor of your choice and still qualify for the SVCE rebate. DIY projects are eligible as well; just ensure they are properly permitted. Our application platform, Assisted Home Upgrades can also help with finding a contractor if you have not found one.
- Equipment: Review the SVCE Appliance Specifications to learn about the program guidelines and ensure your appliance is eligible for a rebate. Use the Appliance Marketplace to shop for efficient electric equipment or visit your own retailer of choice. - Permitting: Make sure to apply for the right building permits with your city or county. Your contractor can help with the permitting process too.
- Gas meter removal: To make modifications to your gas service, please contact PG&E at 1-877-743-7782 or file an application at www.pge.com/newconstruction

Rebate Reservation
If you would like to start your rebate today, click on the button below. Customers will need to complete application sign up process. If your project is approved, you'll get an email confirming your rebate reservation.
What’s next?
If approved, your rebate will be reserved for up to 120 days, but it must be approved before installing your appliance. For emergency replacements made without prior application, please contact us at Programs@svcleanenergy.org for assistance with eligibility.
After completing your appliance upgrade and receiving your permit approval, You will be asked to provide photos of your newly installed equipment and proof of project costs, including itemized descriptions and costs for each wired circuit, if applicable. You may also need to submit permit document(s) and proof of gas meter removal.
After completing your project and submitting final paperwork, you will receive an email notification regarding the status of your rebate. If approved, we will then issue the rebate and mail it to you or to your contractor, whichever is your preference. Please note that it takes approximately four to six weeks for rebate checks to arrive in the mail.
